Feast on Greek Nachos and Plenty of Skewered Meat at the Now Open Meraki Greek Bistro
- by Olee Fowler in
Tucked away in Downtown Miami is the newly opened Meraki Greek Bistro, which quietly opened late last month and boasts an authentic Greek cuisine created by executive chef Ioannis Kotsos, who prior to Meraki owned and operated restaurants in Greece.
On the menu expect plenty of traditional, house-made items like pork gyros, lamb chops, charred octopus, “souvlakia aka skewers made with items like shrimp, pork, bacon-wrapped chicken and veggies, along with a Greek-twist on nachos made with pita chips topped with tomatoes, cucumber, olives, feta, yogurt sauce and olive oil.
The space keeps with the Greek theme featuring white washed walls, blue and white pillows, large rustic tables and hanging lighting of different heights.
The restaurant is now open daily for lunch and dinner at 142 SE 1st Avenue from Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. Delivery is also available. Call 786-773-1535 for more info.
